Anna Snezhina

Anna Snezhina – First Violin

 Born in Vladimir, RF, in 1983, Snezhina started playing the violin from the age of 7. First music teacher V Shevliakova. Almost immediately started performing.

1992 – Grant winner of Rudin’s chamber orchestra “Muzyka Viva”.

 Snezhina performed with “Muzyka Viva” both in Vladimir and in Moscow.

1993 – Selected to participate in the New Names charity program in Suzdal. For the next few years attended the New Names summer school in Suzdal.

1995 – Participated in the 2nd International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians in Sendai, Japan.

The same year Snezhina moved to Moscow and later, in 1998, continued her education in the class of A. Vandysheva at the Academic College of Music affiliated with the Moscow Conservatoire.

From 2003 to 2005 actively performed in Germany.

2002 – 2007   - Bachelor’s Degree in the class of Prof. Glezarova

2007 – 2010  - Master’s Degree in the class of D. Shabolin, the People’s Artist of Russia.

1992- 3rd prize winner of the 2nd Moscow Region Tchaikovsky Competition (Dubna)

1994 – 3rd prize winner of the 3rd Open All Russia Korsakov Competition (Tver)

1997         – 3rd prize winner of the 1st International Shostakovich Competition (Hannover, Germany).

Participated in the International Young Musicians Festival in Finland, 8th and 9th International Festivals “Music Collections”.

Under the framework of the “School of Muses” program performed in an ensemble in Poland and Belgium

Twice participated in Master Classes in Banff Centre, Canada, where she was taught by Ian Swensen, Mariana Sirbu, Joel Smirnoff, Andres Cardenes, and Soovin Kim.

Played in ensemble with Frank Morelli (bassoon), James Campbell (clarinet), and Mariana Sirbu (violin).

Performed in 2 premiers: A. Kopen’s “Melusina” for solo violin, and sonata for violin and piano by E. Stoma.

Performed as a concertmaster Beethoven’s 7th Symphony, Lior Shambadal conducting – the Chief Conductor of Berlin Symphony Orchestra.

Anna Yanchishina

Anna Yanchishina – second violin

   Born in Moscow in 1983, Anna started playing the violin at the age of 6 under the tutorship of N. Boyarskaya at the children’s music school of the Academic Musical College of the Moscow Conservatory. 

Throughout the school years Anna played at a variety of concerts and at 9 debuted with the symphony orchestra on the famous stage of the Bolshoi Theater.

From 1998 to 2002, Anna continued her music education in the Academic Musical College of the Moscow Conservatory in the class of A. Vandysheva. During these years Anna took part in and was awarded at many competitions and music festivals.

In 2007, she graduates the Moscow State P. I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory, and in 2010 she completes her Master’s Degree in the class of Professor, People’s Artist of Russia, S. Girshenko.

Anna is the founder and the only original participant of RUSQUARTET.

 1997 – Laureate of the Open International Competition “N. Rubinstein and Moscow Composers School” in Moscow. Winner of III Prize.

1998 – Special Prize winner for performing contemporary music at the international competition/festival “The Olympics of the Muses”

Twice was the recipient of the grant of the charity program “New Names”.

1996-1999 stipendiary of E. Bystritskaya International Charity Fund.

1999 and 2000 stipendiary and participant in the ensemble solists “The Premiere”.

 As a solo artist played at the following festivals:

“Mozartino” (Italy, 2001),

“Musike” (UK, 2002)

As a soloist performed with conductors: A. Lazarev, Jean-Bernard Pommier and I. Dronov.

In 2009, took solo master-classes at Banff Centre (Canada).

Took classes from: E. Bron, Joel Smirnoff,  Andres Cardenes, and  Soovin Kim.

As part of the ensemble, performed with  Philip Setzer (Emerson String Quartet), Barry Shiffman (St. Lawrence String Quartet),  Denis Brott (Orford String Quartet), and Stephen Prutsman (the Piano).

 Played the first violin in the orchestra at Banff Centre (Canada) at the performance of Dvorak’s Concerto for Cello and Orchestra, conductor Lior Shambadal (Chief Conductor of Berlin Symphony Orchestra) and soloist Desmond Hoebig (USA).

    Alexander Mitinsky

Alexander Mitinskiy – Viola

Was born in 1984 in Moscow. Started to play the violin at age 7. Graduated the the Russian Gnesin’s Academy of music under professor and National Artist of Russia U.Urov (2004 – 2007) and professor D. Potemkin (2007 – 2009). Participant of international festival of chamber music in Brussels (2003) and festival “Spring in Russia” (2003). From 2006 till 2008 had concerts in Sweden, Lithuania, Finland, France, Italy and Greece. Won a first prize at the Competition dedicated to mamory of  M. Udina (Moscow 2009).  Alexander currently studies as post-graduate student at the Russian Gnesins Academy of music under Prof. V. Trushin.

Alexander Doulov

Alexander Dulov – Cello

Born in 1987 in Minsk, Dulov started playing the cello from the age of 4. His first teacher was his grandfather N. Sherbakov, Professor of the Belarus State Academy of Music, a performer of thirty years in the string quartet of the Belarus Composers’ Union.

After a year of home studies Dulov joined the Republican music gymnasium – a college affiliated with the State Academy of Music.

From 1996 to 2002 he was in the class of V. Perlin, and from 2002 until the graduation he was back in Professor N. Sherbakov’s class.

Since early years Dulov actively performed on stage, participated in competitions, festivals, and tours.

From 2006 Dulov is a student of the Moscow State Conservatoire in the class of K. Rodin.

Winner of the following competitions:

1996 – 1st prize winner of the International Oginsky Chamber Ensemble Competition (Smorgon, Belarus)

1998 – 1st prize in the “Music of Hope” Open Competition (Gomel, Belarus)

2003 – 2nd prize in the 4th International Mravinsky Competition of symphony orchestra instruments in St Petersburg

2003 – 2nd prize in the International Elsky String Instruments Competition (Belarus)

2007 – 2nd prize in the International Rubinstein Chamber Ensembles Competition in Moscow

2007 – 3rd prize in the 1st International Gaidamovich Chamber and Ensemble Performance Competition in Magnitogorsk, Russia

2008 – 3rd prize in the 3rd International Taneev Chamber Ensemble Competition in Kaluga, Russia

Took master classes from cellists Jerome Pernoo (France) and Philippe Muller (France).

Dulov performed as a soloist with Belarus State Symphony orchestra, Republican College Chamber Orchestra, and with the symphony orchestra of the St. Petersburg Choir.

Toured in England, Italy, France, Germany, Austria, and the US.

Grant holder of the Belarus President’s Special Fund for the support of the talented youth.

In 2005 and 2007 participated in the «Tiroler Festival» for the orchestras as a concertmaster of a cello group under the conducting of maestro Gustav Kuhn in Wörgl in Austria.
